How To Help St. Jude End Childhood Cancer                                     January 27, 2017

As many people know, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is dedicated to curing and preventing childhood cancer through innovative research and treatment. They admirably deny no child treatment based their family’s ability to pay for such expensive care — but to continue offering these life-saving services, they need your help.

St. Jude offers a variety of ways people can contribute, whether it be through its school, workplace or other volunteer work. For example, by partnering with St. Jude, contributions from your company or organization can help fund the vital research that, for more than 50 years, has helped decrease the childhood cancer rate more than 60 percent. If you’re more of a hands-on person, there are several events you can take part in, such as the 2017 Rock ‘n’ Roll Brooklyn Half Marathon, where you can register under the St. Jude team.

St. Jude needs your help to cure and eliminate childhood cancer. To learn more about this organization and what you, your family or organization can do, go to https://www.stjude.org

The Salesian Sisters Need Your Help                                               January 20, 2017

The Salesian Sisters of Saint John Bosco, a sister order of the Salesians of Don Bosco, is a wonderful organization dedicated to advancing education for poor youth across the world. The work they do is vital, but it cannot be accomplished alone.

To support their organization’s efforts, the Sisters started the “Adopt A Sister” program, dedicated to assisting the aging Sisters with the intention to take them “into their hearts.” These donations cover the retirement costs of the Sisters and are a wonderful way to show an appreciation of their life’s work.

Anyone who enrolls in this program receives a biography of their adopted Sister and a “certificate of adoption.” These women have dedicated their lives to helping others in need, and any donation can help them meet their retirement needs.
